Plug-in to your Future-Drive Electric!
More and more NHEC members are driving Electric Vehicles (EVs), some because they like the savings, others because they like doing their part for the environment. Whatever the case, consumers have more choices than ever when it comes to driving electric as manufacturers meet growing demand for EVs with many new models, extended mileage ranges and great price points.

Which EV is right for me?
Electric cars are becoming more mainstream, you’re not alone in wondering whether an electric car is right for you. As the technology supporting electric cars (EVs) and batteries continue to improve, so does the mileage range and the EV charging network. If you were reluctant to consider an EV because of range concerns, some manufacturers are making cars in the 300+ mile range on a single charge. EV charging networks are evolving so consumers can map their destinations by charging locations.
Buying an Electric Vehicle
NHEC will award rebates to eligible NHEC members who purchase or lease a new or used electric vehicle (BEV or PHEV) or electric motorcycle (EM).The rebate applies only to qualifying EVs that recharge through a factory installed cord connection that must be plugged in to be recharged.
Residential EV Charging Station Incentives
The Residential Off-Peak Electric Vehicle Charging Station Program combines incentives for the installation of new electric vehicle charging stations with an attractive EV Off-Peak Rate. In addition to the Off-Peak Rate, NHEC will provide participants an incentive for the installation of up to two Level 2 or larger charging stations. Each qualifying charging station may receive up to a $300 incentive. The maximum incentive per account is $600.
Commercial EV Charging Station Incentives
NHEC now offers incentives for the installation of new electric vehicle charging stations to NHEC commercial and municipal members. Install up to two (2) Level 2 or larger charging stations and qualify for an incentive of 75% of installed cost up to $2500. Maximum incentive available per property is $5000.
